Whet your appetite for Transgression and the No Wave scene that inspired filmmakers, artists, and musicians in Downtown New York during the 80s when you view the third in the series of films shown at Whitespace. “The Cinema of Transgression” will feature excerpts from short films by the convulsive, controversial and strictly over-the-top Richard Kern, and punk filmmaker Nick Zedd, who is famous for his blood, shame, pain and ecstasy. Not for the faint of heart nor weak of stomach, this film is for connoisseurs of the dank and the dangerous. “Scornful and flippant, their films and music violently attack conformity they see all around them, highlighting an erotically-charged and sardonic movement.” Fo’ Free.

Brian has many art credits to his name; music magazines and ‘zines and his album cover art credits include 7 Seconds, Melvins, and Triple Threat. He’s been involved with Polvo, WWAX, Patty Duke Syndrome, Snake Nation and currently, Double Negative. Free booze, music by Family and an afterparty at The Reservoir Bar around 11:30.
