French Press
The Artery loves to support local businesses, especially those who use handmade techniques. One of our favorites is French Press, a small design and printing studio located in the Tri-Main building at 2495 Main St. in Buffalo. Next door to the BAS, this space is wet dream for any typographer or printer – full of letter forms, presses, papers and ink. Owner Shelly Kuzniarek has mastered the painstakingly time consuming, and meticulous, yet oh so rewarding process of letterpress. In the time of digital prints, rushed and mediocre work, French Press rivals with a serious craft that provides one of the most elegant, sophisticated design forms. This studio can handle just about any project, and each piece is handcrafted with love, which makes it increasingly more valuable.

Help support local business and be inspired!
