Headed by Brain Hubble, Midnite Snacks will be the Chicago edition of a continuing and traveling group show. Last year the group made their debut in Richmond, VA before heading North to Brooklyn, NY where they knocked the socks offa some Yankees who naturally assumed that everything good and great came from within the city walls.
This exhibit will consist of several artists (aka. “a group”), who will each contribute one work of art that’s been deemed the neglected, forgotten or least likely to be nominated. Think Alicia Silverstone, not Ralph Macchio. Beautiful but past it’s prime? Sounds like a winner! The exhibition will take place at 1366 Space, located at 1366 Milwaukee Ave., near the Division Blue Line. It’s an industrial space that measures 3,125 sq. ft.!
Artwork may not exceed 13″ on any side and must be ready to hang, no free-standing sculptures or floor pieces. If you’re chosen to participate, it is extremely important to attach a label to the back including your name, price, phone number, and email. Every precaution will be taken to make sure all property is handled with care, but staff will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged artwork. The opening reception will take place Friday, March 12, 6-9 pm. The closing reception will be Friday, April 9, 6-9 pm. It is your responsibility to arrange for your artwork to be removed from the gallery that evening. 100% of sales go to the artist.
If interested, get on it by Feb 9th and send submissions for review to brian@brianhubble.com.
A small entrance fee of $10 will help in the maintenance and promotion of the show.
