We’ll be in Buffalo missing all the fun that’s happening in the South East, but that doesn’t mean you should miss it.

Durham’s Duo-Fest III

The third annual Duofest at Bull City Headquarters will feature 16 duos playing on two stages from 2:30 to 12:30 and the legendary Mecca Normal as part of their 25th Anniversary Tour. Duofest began in 2007 after Dave Duo and Eleni Binge realized there were a myriad of duos without a fest to celebrate. Eat, drink and celebrate the artform of more is less. Atlanta’s Pecha Kucha

Pecha Kucha returns Sunday to High Octane Coffee, for the third edition of their Spring Session. Pecha Kucha is an informal forum for creative work encompassing a range of disciplines: advertising, architecture, art, fashion, food, graphics, media (digital, moving, mixed), product. The key is a simple formula: 20 slides for 20 seconds each. Each invited speaker has the spotlight for 6 minutes 40 seconds to share and show off their work before the program moves on to the next presentation. The unfolding mix of stuff on show keeps everyone engaged and talking. The bar eases the conversation.

Sunday, April 19th, 7:30 PM

Arlington’s Inked Souls

The annual Inked Souls show is a place for artists involved in pop-surrealism, lowbrow and urban contemporary art, to congregate and coordinate a group exhibit. This year ArtWhino has teamed up with the Crystal City Business Improvement District and Tagr Sneaker Co. to showcase an exhibition of one-of-a-kind customized sneakers, paintings and photography. Four photographers will be featured whose subject matter rangers from 80’s Breakers to customized semi trucks. Each artists must present one pair of customized sneakers with their work.

Extras:
Music by Black Cat’s Resident DJ Lil’e, a special live performance is slated by Big Benz from TTM Entertainment and by Los Angeles’ Finest DJ Heavy Grinder. A break dance performance by The Document is scheduled as well. The event is free!
